I have worked with kids and families in one way or another since 1989.  I got my start in the mental health world, then I taught middle school Language Arts, and now I have landed here at Doty, the cutest little school in the world!

I believe strongly in educating the whole child.  Academics will only take us so far.  We need our students to learn to be collaborative, courageous, and curious in order to successfully navigate their futures.  Doty’s strong commitment to community both within and outside the school are keys to helping students develop the real life skills they will need.  At Doty we throw in plenty of love and smiles too.  Our work is serious and it has to be fun too, engaged students learn best.

When I’m not at school, you will find me knitting, baking, working with animals, or engaged in some outside project that I may, or may not, really know how to do!
